Toshiba has launched three new external and fully portable HDDs which are aimed at both "technology-savvy and style-conscious consumers".

The new HDDs are sleek but also ruggedised to withstand the demands of being constantly in transit.

The three new drives have an internal shock sensor that safeguards them from everyday wear and tear.

They feature a 2.5 inch drive and fit into the palm of the hand.

And they are compatible with both PCs and Macs.

The Gecko Green device offers 160 GB of storage, while the Hot Rod Red device delivers 250GB drive of memory.

And last up is the Carbon Grey device, which is a 320GB top-end drive capable of storing huge volumes of user data.

No prices as yet but we'll keep you posted.
