A special edition of CoPilot Live 7 has been released for the HTC Touch Diamond smartphone.Featuring turn-by-turn satellite navigation that takes full advantage of the phone’s in-built GPS satellite receiver, VGA colour screen and 4GB on-board memory, the software is supplied on a DVD that copies and installs the maps and software onto the phone from a desktop.
Features include 7 digit post-code entry, safety camera info, voice guidance and automatic route calculation, there are 2D and 3D maps and a "driver safety mode" that only displays the map close to a turn.
There's also an optional real-time traffic subscription and a live tracking service that will let you share your location live on the web with others as you move around.
Set-up is said to be simple thanks to automatic configuration that recognises the Touch Diamond’s internal GPS receiver, the CoPilot Live 7 HTC Touch Diamond Edition DVD will be available to purchase from the end of July for around £65. Phones, Apps, HTC, CoPilot, Car And GPS
