Toshiba has announced the launch of the limited-edition Portege M800 that it describes as a style-focused laptop.

With a 13.3-inch WXGA TruBrite screen, the new Portege features a pearl white finish, with silver contrasting and a white LED outline.

Processing power is provided by new Intel Centrino 2 processor technology, with graphics and images handled by Intel GMA graphics chips. There's a 320GB hard drive and 4GB DDR2 memory.

Features include a DVD SuperMulti drive, a microphone and integrated webcam that supports Toshiba Face Recognition Technology, allowing user log-on using unique facial features as an alternative to passwords.

Multimedia entertainment features are controlled via white illuminated feather-touch buttons and the laptop comes pre-installed with Vista Home Premium.

Weighing 2 kilos, the Toshiba Portege M800 will be on sale in the UK throughout Q3 2008, with pricing at around the £749 mark.
