Skype gets VoIP edition P*Phone retro handset

Y*Cable makes VoIP calls possible with retro handset

6 September 2005 18:56 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Skype's just gone retro with the announcement that you can now make calls on a hulger phone. Launched this week, the Y*CABLE turns the HULGER P*PHONE into an internet phone.

The maker of the retro handset have made a cable that allows you to connect the phone into your PC, however current owners will be annoyed that you won't just be able to buy the cable on its own.

The P*PHONE and Y*CABLE are available to buy online at www.hulger.com and at www.skype.com.

The P*PHONE with Y*CABLE will cost £40 for a limited time and then £48 thereafter.

UPDATE: we've just been informed by Hulger that the Y*CABLE will be available seperately from next week onwards at its website.
