Alpine launches CDA-9886R sound system

iPod, Bluetooth, USB memory sticks and CD playing in your car

The Alpine CDA-9886R is a CD receiver, USB and iPod controller all in one for cars.

There are seven different models available in the range, headed up by the CDA-9887R, which offers MP3 compatibility, USB playback, plays Windows Media files as well as offering compatibility with an array of iPods as well as being Bluetooth phone ready for all drivers who have tunes stored on their mobile.

It also has a Vehicle Display Interface as well as being Steering Remote Control-ready.

At the lowest end of the range is the CDE-9872R and RM, whihc offer "Full Speed" iPod connectivity, which means you can use the Quick Search and Percentage Search features of your pod whilst driving.

And the CDA-9886R and CDA-9884R utilise Alpine's IMPRINT sound technology if you connect up the PXA-H100 processor, so you can have the pros "measure your car's acoustics and process the sound".
