A new range of remote control toys combined with digital watches has been announced, featuring sci-fi favourites, such as Doctor Who and Star Wars characters.

From Wesco, the mini remote control characters can be raced around flat surfaces, controlled by a matching LCD watch.

With forward and backward functionality, the digital watch contains infrared controls and the miniature vehicle clips onto the watch strap when not in use.

Due to hit the shops in September, Whizz Watches are suitable for children aged 4 and up and are priced at around £14.99.

All Whizz Watches are available online at Amazon. Star Wars R2D2 and the Dr Who Dalek are also available from Argos, Express Gifts, Harrods and Play.com.
