Acer Aspire 2390 and 5390 laptops launched

Two consumer-friendly models sporting new Intel Centrino 2 chip

Acer has launched two new Aspire laptops today featuring the new Intel Centrino 2 processor announced earlier in the week.

The two new models are the Aspire 5930 and Aspire 2930 and take on the same look and feel of the Gemstone model launched earlier in the year and will come with the sapphire blue "Empowering Key" according to Acer.

The Aspire 5930 will come with an Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT DDR3/9300M GS graphic card, offer a wide aspect 15.4-inch Acer CrystalBrite screen.

On the entertainment front there is a HDMI socket, second generation Dolby Home Theater and optional Blu-ray drive.

The Aspire 2930 will also come with the Intel Centrino 2 processor, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD integrated 3D graphics card, and sport a wide aspect 12.1-inch Acer CrystalBrite screen.
