Apple sues OpenMac maker Psystar
What took 'em so long?

Apple has filed a suit against Mac-clone maker Psystar at the federal district court for the northern district of California.
The real surprise here is not Apple suing the company, but that its taken so long to do so considering Psystar's blatant marketing of their "OpenMac" systems.
ZDNet reports: "Apple, Inc., manufacturer of the well known line of computers and software, filed suit on July 3 in the federal district court for the northern district of California against Florida company Psystar, Inc. The suit alleges counts for violation of its shrink wrap license, trademark and copyright infringement".
The company did change the name of the Leopard-compatible Mac built from standard PC parts that they called an "Apple alternative" to "Open Computer" after lots of press interest, but it's the software that's the legal stocking point.
The use of Leopard on non Apple-branded hardware is a violation of its End User License Agreement and is prohibited by Apple.
