Rock launches Xtreme 780 gaming machine

With Intel inside

Rock was bought by Stone Group just 4 weeks ago, and now it's gaming expertise has produced the first model for joint venture.

The Xtreme 780 packs in up to Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X9100 processor.

Graphics wise, you get an Nvidia GeForce Go 9800M GTX card and a 17-inch WUXGA X glass screen to view them on.

Rock adds that you also get up to 8GB DDR3 1066MHz FSB and a 250GB 7200RPM SATA HDD.

Entertainment-wise, a DVD read/writer comes as standard and you can choose between a Blu-ray player or Blu-ray player/ writer.

The Xtrene 780 comes with wireless LAN 802.11a/b/g/n as well as Bluetooth, and an integrated 2-megapixel webcam.

The laptop has a eight cell battery, though there's no details on the actual battery life.

Size-wise, it is 397 x 294 x 37mm and weighs 3.8kg so not one for lugging around with you.

No price as yet but you can pre-order now on the Rock website and shipping is expected to start in August.
