Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z150 launches

With obligatory world's "est" claim

Casio has launched its newest Exilim digi-camera, the 8.1-megapixel Zoom EX-Z150.

Casio are claiming that the new model is the slimmest camera in the world with a built-in wide-angle 28mm (35mm film equivalent) 4x optical zoom lens, at 20.1mm thick (measuring 18.9mm at the thinnest section).

As well as CCD-shift anti-shake functionality and face detection technology, the EX-Z150 features a 3-inch TFT LCD monitor on the back - a first for the Exilim series.

Like the rest of the Exilims, the camera takes SD and SDHC cards, can record 10-minute movies in 640 x 480 at 30fps, has 22 scene modes and will snap 280 or so images on a full charge.

Available in silver and black, as well as red, pink, and green, pricing is yet to be confirmed.

UPDATE: Pocket-lint has been informed by Casio's PR team in the UK that this model will not see a GB release.
