Pics and specs leaked

Samsung has obviously seen all of the attention the 8-megapixel Sony Ericsson C905 got, and wants a piece of the action.

Details have been leaked onto the Internet of a C905 contender - the Samsung i8510.

The phone allegedly also packs in an 8-megapixel camera, which offers auto-focus and a Xenon flash.

Other specs worth a mention include the i8510's 2.8-inch QVGA screen, which, if rumours are to be believed, boasts 6 million colours, and is 240 x 320 pixels.

The phone also offers Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS, DivX support, TV out, dedicated 3D graphics, and video recording at 120fps.

Phones Review is also reporting that the Samsung i8510 has a metal casing and measures 106.5 x 53.9 x 16.9mm and incorporates a 1200mAh battery.

There are hints that there will be versions with either 16GB or 8GB of internal memory, and the Optical mouse, which we’ve seen in earlier Samsung phones.

Samsung is keeping quiet at the moment so we don't have any details on a UK launch date or pricing, but watch this space.
