Fake Steve Jobs, aka Dan Lyon, the journalist that kept the tech world guessing as to his real identity for some time as he blogged as the Apple CEO, has quit.

Fans will be happy to note that although the blog, with the tagline, "Dude, I invented the friggin iPhone. Have you heard of it?", will no longer be updated, there's a "Greatest Hits" book in the offing.

FSJ says: "I've compiled a 'Greatest Hits' book for anyone who'd like a small keepsake of the FSJ blog. I did it using some website called Blurb... It's 120 pages long and costs $25".

His last post ends: "I know you'll miss FSJ. So will I. But rest assured, Fake Steve is not really going away. He's just taking on a new form".

"As Jimi Hendrix once said, If I don't see you no more in this world, I'll meet you on the next one, but don't be late. Namaste to all. Much love. Peace out."
