Sharp thinks it have what it takes to tackle companies like Apple and Creative with the launch of a portable 4Gb hard disc MP3 player called the HR-MB35.Sharp believe that users will be attracted by the players 32Mb anti-shock memory that stores songs in advance to compensate for any disturbances while moving.
The player, which measures 56.6 x 105.5 x 17.4mm and supports MP3, WMA and WAV files, also promises 18 hours of playback from one charge.
The player will also offer USB2.0 connectivity and a colour screen however it won't offer the chance to view images.
The player will €259 when it launches later in the month, however Sharp UK have confirmed that it is unlikely to make it to UK shores.
