Acer launches monitor for gamers - the G24

Perfect match to Aspire Predator PCs

Way back in May, Acer unveiled its Aspire Predator gaming PCs - the Sniper, Trooper, Crusher and Eliminator.

Now you can get a matching monitor, which, with a contrast ratio of 50,000:1 (which Acer says is a first), is claimed to be perfect for gamers.

The G24 is a 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor providing a resolution of 1920 x 1200, a response time of 2ms, and Acer CrystalBrite technology.

It also features an HDMI interface, Acer eColor Management (allowing you to configure colour parameters and avoid ambient light reflection).

Acer adds that the monitor boasts its OD (overdrive) technology "that significantly improves gray-to-gray levels by reducing deviation in transition time" while "the rapid response time (up to 2 ms) permits immersive 3D graphics and video display".

The manufacturer adds that the G24 is optimised for the Windows Vista operating system and supports HDMI for "instant connectivity to DVD players, set-top boxes and HD game consoles".

Looks-wise, the G24 echose the design of the Predator PCs with an orange and black colour scheme and sleek contours.

We haven't got a price nor launch date as yet but we'll keep you posted.
