  Ebay have a duty of care and should respect both the seller and the buyer, which they do not. They are more concerned with profits than fraud and it is to easy for their site to be used in this way. Just try and get help from ebay when you have a problem and you will see what I mean, they are slow to respond unless you happen to be the BBC or other large organisation.
  
  They make enough money so they can offered to employ staff to police the site. In view of the size of ebay it is no longer enough to simply say that our users police the site (especially when they don't enough respond at times!) Posted by Paul, England

  I agree with the above comments, except the fool MENIA who seems to be saying Ebay is there to sell fakes to those who can't afford the real thing.
  I have reported blatant scam merchants, who target the elderly, to Ebay myself and absolutely nothing was done about it as they continue to operate as power sellers (no doubt earning Ebay a lot of money), they sell two similar items but of much different specification, but use a picture and product description of the higher one on both ads. You think you are getting the one in the picture and description at a bargain price but end up disappointed. I only found out by querying the large price difference between what seemed the same item. Yet Ebay does nothing, except it will look into it but cannot tell you any outcome. Posted by Alan, England
