The latest Eee-a-like to hit the global market in the now seemingly inevitable onslaught of netbook computers is the cutesy "LuvBook" from Mouse Computer.

Just announced, Mouse will launch its Atom-based mini-notebook PC, the U100, into the Japanese market in July for 59,800 yen, which is around £280. No word on an international launch.

Powered by the 1.6GHz Atom processor, it offers a Windows XP operating system, 1GB of RAM, an 80GB HDD, a 10.2-inch WSVGA display and a 1.3-megapixel webcam. Tidy.
