Panasonic denies 37-inch OLEDs

Pity

Apparently in an attempt to put a stop to rumours that initiated from a Japanese newspaper report, Panasonic has spoken out about its OLED television plans.

The reports suggested that the company was beginning manufacture of OLED displays at one of their plants, with a whopping 37-incher rumoured to be rolling off the production line within 3 years.

This might not quite be the case though, according to more far East news sources, as a company spokesperson has made a statement to web news site Tech-On as follows:

"We are currently advancing research and development in view of OLED production at IPS Alpha's Himeji Plant for the future, but nothing specific has yet been decided on the commercialization of our OLED TV at the moment."
