Ovei pod offers

24 June 2008 17:02 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Got £50,000 to spare on a personal entertainment experience? Then you'll need the Ovei.

Launched at CEDIA in the UK on Tuesday, the pod offers you an enclosed space to watch, play and relax according to its makers.

Designed by Lee McCormack and engineered by McLaren Applied Technologies, those of F1 fame, each capsule is bespoke and hand crafted to client specifications.

According to the makers, users will be able to set it up with any kit they want from a PS3 to Xbox to media server as well as choosing the colour and interior.

Expect to seem them in swanky bachelor pads on Grand Designs shortly.

  • Yeah except the Ovei looks like it's been designed whereas the virtualworld thing looks like a hole cut out of a large satellite dish stuck on scaffold tubes. Apart from the quality of experience factor they're probably exactly the same, that's why I drive an old Renault, with four wheels and an engine it's the same as a Ferrari, no? Posted by Frank, UK
