Altec Lansing im7 iPod speakers available in the UK

More speaker sets for the world's favourite MP3 player

Altec Lansing latest speaker system, the im7, breaks away from the company's conventional flat design as it lands in the UK this week.

The cylinder shaped speaker system that measures 16.7h x 6.5w x 6.5d inches and weighs 5Kg when loaded with batteries will work with both the iPod and iPod mini.

The unit will also automatically recharge the MP3 player from Apple when plugged-in.

Included in the box is a slim line infrared remote control that allows you to adjust the bass and treble as well as standard functions like pause, play and track skip.

Away from a power socket, the iM7 takes a massive eight D size batteries that'll Altec Lansing says will last 8-10 hours.

It comes with a whole host of connectivity including an auxiliary line-in for connecting other audio devices, a headphone output, a DC power input, and even S-Video and composite-video ports for use with the photo-friendly iPod.

The new speaker set is available from iPodWorld.co.uk and will cost £199.99
