Canon has launched 13 new PIXMA printers and multifunctionals today as part of huge product launch for Christmas.

The company has announced five multifunctional photo centres with up to 9600 x2400 dpi photo printing, from entry level MP150 through to premium model MP800.

Three photo direct printers that feature 6-ink cartridges and up to 96002x2400dpi printing.

Three premium photo printers that also offer 96002x2400dpi, 5-ink cartridges, PictBridge compatible and wireless connectivity.

And finally two slim-line, 4800 x1200dpi entry level photo printers

Most of the devices will print straight from most contemporary digital cameras without the need for a PC and some even have wireless connectivity (IrDA and/or optional Bluetooth) ideal for printing photos direct from camera mobile phones.

Many of the models launched will print directly from digital camera memory cards and the MP800 will even print straight from old negatives.

Each of the printers can generate flawless A4 borderless prints, exceptionally high resolution and Canon promises images will resist fading for 100 years when album-stored or 10 years on Photo Paper Pro PR-101 when exposed to the effects of the air.
