Motorola has announced the launch of the MOTO ROKR E8 in the UK promising music fans tunes on the go.
The handset, first announced at the beginning of the year, will be available on O2 and Orange and come with a 2-megapixel camera, 2GB of storage for music and the option of expanding the storage with a microSD card.
GPRS rather than 3G, the main feature of the new handset is the ModeShift feature which displays only the characters that you need for the task in hand.
Press the music button for example and number keys disappear and music playback ones appear in their place.
Other features include a 3.5mm stereo headset jack, Bluetooth A2DP and support for all the regular music formats including AAC and WMA.
The company also announced a range of new speakers to accompany its new music handset. The MOTOROKR EQ3, EQ5 and EQ7 have yet to be priced, but promise music on the go via Bluetooth connectivity.
