Sony Ericsson "Alicia" leaked ahead of launch

Another spy shot sees clamshell Walkman incoming

We know Sony Ericsson is planning some major mobile phone launches for the 17 June and it appears another handset has been leaked ahead of the big day.

Following the info we received regarding the 8-megapixel HSDPA-enabled Cyber-shot phone, due to become the company's flagship cameraphone model, a Walkman handset has also shown up online.

Codenamed the "Alicia", with a clamshell form factor, it's being described as the W980i with some tweaks.

The outer, hidden display apparently features animations, that depending on your settings, will offer Walkman graphics or info such as the weather.

The reports suggest the display will also show changing themes depending on the time of the day, which sounds a little like the previous S500's functionality.

All will no doubt be revealed on 17 June and Pocket-lint will be attending the London press event to bring you all the official news.
