Philips has announced the launch of the new 7600 Series Ambilight LCD TVs.Available in 32-inch, 37-inch, 42-inch and 47-inch screen sizes the 7603 series is powered by the Philips Pixel Plus 3HD Engine and features Philips HD Natural Motion System as well as four HDMI 1.3a inputs.
The 7603 series offers 10-bit colour processing and a 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio that's nearly four times higher than the previous generation models.
A slim frame hides the "invisible" speaker system housed within the body of the set while the 42 and 47-inch models get Philips' wOOx subwoofer technology which features a dual suspension, dual-excursion passive radiator for what's said to be detailed bass performance.
The 7600 Series are also the first mid-range sets from the company to feature Philips Ambilight technology which, via a series of integrated LEDs, projects light from the left and right rear sides of the set on to the wall behind.
From the bottom to the top of the sizes, the prices are £799, £999, £1199 and £1499 and the models go on sale in the UK this month. Home Cinema, Philips, Televisions, LCD televisions
