The Stylus S20 includes Epson PhotoEnhance technology, which auto-detects skin tones, landscapes and skylines are reproduced with the boast that it enhances colour settings to improve the overall tones and contrasts.

Also included is Epson Easy Photo Print, which claims to make it easy to remove red-eye. The Stylus S20 offers print speeds of up to 26 pages per minute in black and white and 14ppm in colour.

  • I have used the Epson S20 for the past month (bought on the 23rd August 2008) and I have gone through TWO sets of the Epson printer cartridges!! The total cost of these cartridges were more than the cost of the original printer. I have only printed out two business reports and a few emails and the printer gobbled up the ink levels. In addition I found that the S20 is slow and noisy. I have decided to scrap this printer not because it doesnt work (it does) but the ink consumption is extrremely high as there is only less than 5 ml in each of the four cartridges. If one cartridge runs out the printer refuses to print even in black!. I have just bought a Lexmark X4550 which I found excellent so far. Posted by eugene coyle, U.K.
  • My daughter has just phoned me saying exactly what is printed above. She just bought an Epson S20 last week and the printer has ran out of black ink; after printing just a few pages. As indicated above the printer wont work using the other inks . She said it is the slowest printer she has ever used, her previous printer being a Dell printer. She will probably replace it too as she has many notes to print for university. Extremely disappointing. Posted by mags devlin, Scotland
  • It is interesting to read of others who are disappointed with the S20. I bought mine having had pretty good results with Stylus 470 for years but the latest is less than the former. Apart from running out of ink in next-to-no-time, rejecting cartridges made by Epson, it was incable of taking the higher capacity black it desperately needs and is always popping up windows all over the documents I am trying to print. • Just purchased the S20 as a replacement for my old Photo 915, apart from the above the other problem I am having is getting it to print of some web pages, some are OK but others it cannot see and print, I just get the headers and footers. Never had that problem with my 915 and the help line seems c----.
    Any help appreciated.

  • We bought an Epsom S20 in March and have bought at least 9 cartriges and printed very little. We have taken it back to a Epson centre twice (100 miles total) and have been told it was ok although it used up a set of ink without us printing anything!!!! . The secondhand replacment is now going to be dumped although still under warranty we have now just bought a Kodak esp 5. It seems that some printers are sold cheaply & the ink sold expensively.
