"Twice as fast, half the price" is Apple's claim for the just-launched 3G version of the iPhone.
Unveiled by Apple CEO Steve Jobs at the worldwide developers conference in San Francisco, the new model is both thinner and cheaper than the first version.
As well as the addition of full GPS, the 16GB model is now available in traditional white - a move that will no doubt please fans.
Available on 11 July across 22 countries, the 8GB model will go on sale for £100 while the 16GB version will cost $299.
