Vonage, the broadband telephone company, has announced a PAP2 broadband telephone adapter from Linksys that will enable you to make calls over the internet from your existing phone handset.

Vonage's broadband telephone service works using a standard touch-tone telephone handset instead of a headset plugged into a PC.

For £9.99 per month, or £18.99 for business use, customers will receive unlimited UK & Ireland local and national calls and Vonage-to-Vonage calls completely free of charge as well as simplified, low mobile and international rates.

In addition, consumers can also benefit from a number of features such as call waiting, 3-way calling, call forwarding, and voicemail all of which can be managed online.

The PAP2 is available for around £20 from a number of retailers including Comet, Maplin and Broadbandbuyer.co.uk.
