Whether you have an N95, N82, N78 or other GPS-happy Nokia handset, Nokia says your device could well become the ultimate festival essential this summer with Nokia "Personal Navigation" within Maps 2.0.Some suggested uses for the app will work better if your buddies are also Nseries owners. Promising no more "see you by the speakers next to the stage", Nokia says choose a spot to watch the band, click "save" on the maps menu and then send this locoation via text to your mates.
On receiving the data, the location will appear in the Nokia Maps application and users can ask the handset to give them route guidance to the meeting point.
Another potential use - and one that does seem like a very useful idea - is a find your car slash tent function. Simply stand by your motor, or tent, click "save" in the phone’s maps menu and the location is stored for you to navigate back to. Simple but effective.
The Personal Navigation tool is a feature within Nokia Maps 2.0 that's available as a free download now.
