Monitor Audio, a hi-fi manufacturer, believes it has what it takes to challenge Bose and other speaker manufacturers in the iPod accessory speaker market. The company has launched its first forray into iPod accessories with the £250 i-deck. The speaker set promises a knock-out punch to its rivals in the volume department by offering up to 102 dBA via a 4in Bass/ midrange driver and 14mm gold coated polymer ring dome tweeter.
The company believes its secret to success is the inclusion of two separate speakers allowing users to position the speakers where they want rather than be restricted to a complete single unit.
Non-iPod owners who also want a piece of the action can use the speakers auxiliary line input 3.5mm stereo mini jack.
The unit will come with a radio frequency remote control so you don't have to be in line of sight to use it.
The i-deck comes with interchangeable bezels to fit iPod 3G, 4G, mini and photo and charges iPod whilst it plays. Audio, Speakers, iPod speakers, Monitor Audio, iPod
