Microsoft has issued a special, limited edition version of the Zune 80 in in tribute to Brit post-punk band Joy Division.

Both the software and the back of the player get artwork of Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures" album, while a copy of the Peter Saville-made documentary about the band is preloaded on the device.

Only 500 will be available when the player goes on sale as of 17 June, at a hefty fan tax of $400 versus the $249 of the ordinary Zune 80. It is a US-only launch.
