Mio has previewed some exciting-looking new GPS devices at the Computex event in Taipei, including the company's first smartphone offering.

The Leap G50 is quad-band GSM handset, Mio's first Windows Mobile 6.1 device, with an iPhone-esque touchscreen design.

Obviously the emphasis is on navigation with MioMap 2008 software and a 2-megapixel camera capable of geotagging images.

The Leap K1 is a dual-sided handset that offers a toggle switch for users to change between full phone functionality and a GPS device in one gadget.

The K1 has a built-in media player, a 2-megapixel camera and runs on the Windows CE 5 platform.

The Moov 380 is a more traditional GPS offering but includes a a GSM radio and a SIM card slot to give it hands-free calling and basic GPRS data while on the road. Other features include a 4.3-inch screen, Bluetooth, and traffic data.

Pocket-lint got in touch with Mio in the UK to found out when these devices might see a launch here - no official timings have been announced, but we were informed they are "hoping that it'll be later this year".
