Asus launches 901 and 1000 Eees

New models get Computex debut

As predicted, Asus has revealed new models of its ultraportable laptop, the Eee, at the Computex event in Taipei.

The new Eee PC 901, 1000 and 1000(H) models claim to "add even more options to users" and run on a 1.6GHz Atom CPU from Intel.

The new Eees will offer from 8.9-inch to 10-inch displays with the keyboard of the 1000 models 92% the size of generic notebooks.

With the same shockproof Solid State Drive design as previous models, this new range of Eee PC are also equipped with the exclusive Super Hybrid Engine technology that can provide longer battery lifespans of up to 7.8 hours, and come with a 20GB allowance of exclusive online web storage.

Asus has gotten colourful with the new range too. "Infusion" cover patterns inspired by various elements, "tastefully designed and provide vibrant colours" give a bright, scratchproof finish.

Pricing and availability for the new models is yet to be revealed.
