Movistar gets iPhone for Spain
Another international Apple mobile announcement

As is becoming formulaic for these international iPhone announcements, no more information about dates, pricing or version of the phone to be offered is provided, but Spain's Movistar has revealed it will offer the Apple device.
Previous to this the most recent partnership announced was Hutchison for Hong Kong and Macau on the 3 network, which came in the wake of a whole host of similar announcements about Apple's mobile from Orange, Swisscom, SingTel and others, America Movil and Vodafone.
It is thought Movistar will get a period of exclusivity selling the device in Spain, before more operators will also offer the phone.
From a relatively slow start, Apple has rapidly expanded the markets the iPhone will be offered in. From the big markets, only mainland China, Japan, South Korea and Russia have not yet been confirmed.
