Acer has recently announced its launch into the high-end gaming PC arena, but it seems that has not stopped the computer manufacturer looking to the opposite end of the market too.
It seems you're no-one these days unless you're offering a small, cheap laptop and Acer's previously rumoured entry into this end of the market looks as if it will become reality very soon.
Images and info have leaked for Acer's answer to Asus Eee PC. The laptop is supposedly called the "Aspire One" and has an 8.9-inch screen with a native resolution of 1024 x 768.
With an Atom processor and running Windows XP SP3, the mini notebook is said to be launching within a few weeks at 299 euros which works out at around £235 - considerably less than the Eee 900's £329 price tag.
