Sony homes in on PSP importers as UK launch approaches

Sony tackles Lik-Sang.com over PSP imports

8 August 2005 18:06 GMT / By Stuart Miles

With less than a month to go before the launch of Sony's handheld console, the PSP, in the UK - yes we know the rest of the world has already got it - Sony Europe is continuing its battle against importers of the unit into the country.

The latest culprit to feel the wrath of the Japanese manufacturer is Hong Kong based Lik-Sang.com, which was informed that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc commenced legal actions against them in the High Court of Hong Kong for selling PSP consoles to us Brits.

It's seems that Sony is keen to make sure that UK consumers get a PSP designed for launch in the UK from a store in the UK on or after the September 1 2005 launch date.

But with only one month to go, you have to admit it might just be worth waiting for your UK legit boxed copy.
