BioShock is coming to the PS3 in October this year developer 2K Games has confirmed.

Changing its stance from August last year when 2K Games said that the title wouldn't be making it to the Sony console the new port will now also be getting new content and features.

First launched in 2007 for the Xbox 360 and the PC. BioShock went on to win a number of awards including the Pocket-lint game of the year 2007.

The game is set in an undersea world called Rapture, dreamed up as a would-be Utopia but where genetic engineering has gone terribly wrong.

Meanwhile mobile gaming company IG FUN has said it plans to bring the FPS to the iPhone after the company has finished with the BREW version.
