Amazon announces video streaming service

Coming to US in next couple weeks

Amazon has said that it will launch a streaming video service in the US in the next few weeks.

The new digital streaming service will offer an a la carte for pay scheme and aim to complement its digital music and unbox offerings as the company continues to take on Apple in the digital marketplace.

Jeff Bezos, the company’s CEO made the announcement in an interview at the D: All Things Digital event in the US.
