Dell mini laptop to challenge Eee PC

CEO gets over excited and spills the beans

Dell has confirmed it is to go up against Asus, MSI and HP with a budget mini laptop although refrained from actually announcing any details.

The new laptop, showed off by CEO Michael Dell at the All Things Digital event in the US, will come in two colours; black or red.

Details are incredibly sketchy with Dell only confirming the laptop exists on the company’s blog after the CEO showed it to the editor of gadget website Gizmodo at the show.

Garnering information from the pictures Lam took and the official images Dell has released, it looks like the Dell Mini Inspiron will have three USB ports, an SD card reader, VGA output, and Ethernet connections.

We will keep you posted.
