Asus hints at 10-inch Eee PC
Press invite suggests new model coming
28 May 2008 14:52 GMT / By Stuart Miles
Asus could be about to launch a 10-inch version of its popular Eee PC laptop following a comment from Asus Chairman, Jonney Shih to journalists this week.
"ASUS is looking forward to welcoming you during Computex 2008 in Taipei, Taiwan, for the ASUS' 08 Computex Trilogy of launch events. We would also like to specially extend an invitation to you to attend the official global launch of the new Eee PC 901 and 1000 series."
So read the invite according to UMPC news site umpcfever.com, trouble is, is that Asus doesn’t have a 1000 series as yet. The assumption? If the product naming system follows suit it means a 10-inch version is being launched next month.
We will keep you posted.
