Sony Ericsson Paris - myths dispelled. Phones, Mobile phones, Sony Ericsson 0

We promised you more details and here they are.

Some grainy snaps of the Sony Ericsson Paris appeared online at the beginning of the month, but now those clever chaps at Mobile Review have come up with some specs.

We know that the slider runs on the Symbian UIQ 3.3 Operating System (and is the first slider from the company to do so) and it will sport a 20-key QWERTY keypad.

But, says Mobile Review, rumours that this phone will be the new flagship amongst UIQ products are not true.

"It’s clear that the Paris will take the spot above the G900, for these two are in fact twins in terms of hardware, although the former sports more powerful software and a different form-factor", they say.

The Paris will be specifically designed for web-browsing with dedicated buttons, and touch-sensitive shortcuts below the display.

The team adds that the phone's screen can be rotated in one touch and you can browse pages, view the bookmark list or history without having to flick the device open.

Other specs - the hint that the Paris going to shipped with Opera 9.5 along with UIQ 3.3.

You also get AGPS support which is defaulted to Google Maps, while full-featured navigation with voice tips is available only with WayFinder 7, which you can buy separately.

It also boasts Wi-Fi, a radio, and Walkman player.

The phone is set to arrive this September and the price tag will be around 400 euros.
