Myxer offering free content for your iPhone

But will you get bombarded with ads?

Apple iPhone owners are being offered free ringtones among other content.

Myxer has launched a new service, which offers iPhone users access to content on its site for free download.

However, the service is ad-supported so bloggers are already raising concerns that if you sign up, your inbox may be bombarded with emails from the companies that have paid a packet for adverts.

"The iPhone is part of today's new mobile economy and like Myxer, it's helping to change the landscape of today's mobile environment", said Myk Willis, CEO of Myxer.

"We're delighted to invite iPhone users to expand their mobile content choices through open access to Myxer's catalog and broad array of mobile content delivery services."

It's a trade-off but is it worth it?
