A new beta of Apple's iPhone Software v2.0 update that's been sent in private to a "select" group of business partners apparently reveals geo-tagging support.

People who have seen the release have told AppleInsider that location-aware services such as "Maps" and "Camera" now ask the user's permission before transmitting data used to identify their current geographical location.

The iPhone Software 2.0 is due to be released in June at the same time Apple is expected to launch its next-gen iPhone handset.
