NEC has announced the successful development of a manufacturing technology that enables more flexible design of TFT LCD panels which basically means that such shapes as this heart-shaped wonder/monstrosity (depending on your P.O.V) are now possible.

The prototype design has a display width of 4cm, a height of 3.6cm and pixel pitch of 174 micrometers (146 pixels per inch), NEC will be showing the display off at Society for Information Display (SID) event in LA this week.
