It was only a matter of time before the biggest gaming craze in newspapers at the moment since the crossword was to make its way on to the internet.

Gamedesire.com, a gaming portal, has launched a free online version of Sudoku on its website.

The site allows you to have access to as many puzzles and as many attempts of those puzzles as you like as long as you login in and download the active x plugin.

There is no need for pen, paper and multiple corrections anymore as you can use a simple click-and-enter method and test your answers right away on the computer screen.

The sudoku board has 9x9 squares, divided into 9 areas 3x3 squares each. Squares can hold digits from 1 to 9. Some of them are placed automatically when game starts, placement of the others is the task of the player.

A player's task is to fill empty squares the board with digits, in a way that in every column, every row and every 3x3 area, each from the digits 1-9 appears exactly once. Player should do that in as short time as possible.
