Kingston Technology has announced it is expanding its line of USB flash drives with the introduction of the DataTraveler HyperX model.

With the claim of offering ultra-fast read/write speeds the DT HyperX is available in capacities up to 8GB and comes with a free 10 day World of Warcraft trial.

"Taking its cue from our HyperX line of industry-setting high-speed memory modules for gamers, enthusiasts and overclockers, the DataTraveler HyperX offers exceptionally fast read and write speeds", said Kirsty Miller, European flash product marketing manager, Kingston Technology.

"Featuring a capless design, with a metallic blue case and black grips for easy handling, the DataTraveler HyperX is a sleek and durable solution for any enthusiasts’ rig."

The DT HyperX has data transfer rates of 30Mbps read and 20Mbps write, and is designed to run on any Windows platform but specifically enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost on Vista-based systems.

Backed by a 5-year warranty and 24/7 technical support, prices range from £23.35 for the 2GB version to £92.10 for the 8 gigger.
