Fujitsu Siemens has launched the Amilo Xi2550 that it says "presents entertainment without constraint".The AMILO Xi 2550 is equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo processor up to T9300, the latest ATI graphic card, HD 2700, Intel PRO/Wireless 4965AGN for high-speed online connections and a high resolution 17-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels.
Describing the notebook as "your very own mobile cinema", FSC offers an optional Blu-ray Disc for high-def movie viewing. There's also a remote control, option for an external display via HDMI and multimedia LightTouch control panel.
"High-quality" loudspeakers and an integrated subwoofer claim to ensure a well-balanced sound which is no doubt helped by the "silent mode".
The Xi 2550 offers a hard disk capacity of up to 640GB, up to 4GB RAM, eSATA connection and optional Raid 0/1 function when using two hard disks, as well as Bluetooth, a 5-in-1 flash card reader and an integrated webcam.
The AMILO Xi2550 is available from retailers starting at 1500 euros - which works out as just under £1200. Hardware, Laptops, Fujitsu Siemens, Blu-ray, Intel
