Ubanana's uCan is a waterproof MP3 player that fits neatly around the back of your head for an all-in-one, no cables or cases solutions for aqua-friendly tunes.

The clever solution claims to be the world's first and smallest fully integrated waterproof MP3 player.

Angled as for general sports use as well as for swimming, the gadget is waterproof down to 3 metres and floats for "easy retrieval".

Offering a 1GB memory, the device can be juiced for 15 hours of playback and supports MP3 and WMA files.

Not actually shipping until July, the uCan is available to pre-order now at a cost of 99 euros - about £79.

  • Just visited the website and ordered mine. Can't wait to get this super piece of kit to relieve the boredom of swimming many lengths each day whilst training. Superb name for it as well. Posted by Jason , UK
  • Love the look of this and the name! I practically live in the water and have tried all waterproof MP3's on the market. All of them disappointing. But this looks to be in a different class!!! Posted by nathan, France

  • Problem is they don't deliver. I ordered in July 2008. Took my money. Still don't have it May 2009. RIP OFF. That's what you get from ordering from Europe. Posted by Paul Infanger, usa
  • I have bought this product and would not recommend it, it is not up to being carried around in a gym bag! Mine now has 3 faults, when i got in touch with them they said they would get back to me in 2 days........2 months later and I'm still waiting! Posted by katie Smith, united kingdom

Have had mine since last xmas, absolutely loved it, it worked well & fab sound quality BUT within 6 months the USB pastic separated from the prongs inside making it fiddly to charge & now it won't charge at all no matter how much you jiggle & fiddle! It needed 4 emails to elicit a response & even then they told me that the guarantee was not valid if I had broken off the USB (which it hasn't). Still waiting for another response. The have no sense of customer service or urgency but are clearly prepared to charge premium costs for an item that with sdome more tweaks could be amazing. As stands now, it's an expensive piece of redundant plastic which in my opinion needs to go back to the drawing board.
