So this may look ridiculous but it's one of those innovations that everyone should be kicking themselves about and saying, "Why didn't I think of that?" (and why am I now not rolling in massive amounts of money and being crowned inventor of the year).

This Thanko product is essentially a big, ziptop plastic bag that is claimed will protect your laptop from the elements, and (if you are anything like me) cups of coffee, tea or in fact any liquid item on my desk.

The bags come in A4 and B% sizes and are priced around 13 euros.

And they are transparent so you can sit out in the rain and type away if you really want to.

They are available via GeekStuff4U.com
