The portable Olympus LS-10 is claimed to deliver the "highest quality sound no matter the time and place – be it at a concert, a breaking news story, or out in nature".
It delivers linear PCM recording capabilities and sampling rates of up to 24bit/96kHz.
The LS-10 Linear PCM Recorder also incorporates a high-sensitivity, noise reduction stereo microphone and enables high-end sampling rates with PCM recording quality. This means that as well as WMA and MP3 file formats, WAV is also supported.
Recordings can be played back using the built-in stereo speaker.
Olympus adds that the device has 2GB internal memory as well as an SD card slot – compatible with SDHC cards up to 32GB.
It costs around £269.99 we get a hands on to see if it's any good.
