BT is planning to re-enter the mobile market with a "BlackBerry-style" device that lets you send and receive email and access the Internet on the go, reports The Times.The hardware launch, set for this week, is said to be an HTC-made handset that will switch from BT's wireless Home Hub indoors to Vodafone's network out and about and will be offered with BT broadband packages.
BT has tried something similar before with the "BT Fusion", a hybrid home and mobile phone that launched back in 2005 and apparently saw only 45,000 customers in 3 years.
