Lindy has launched a "clever" travel adapter with USB charger that means you will be able to charge MP3 players, cameras, camcorders and the myriad of other devices that need USB power but worldwide and without your laptop.

This ingenious travel adapter is suitable for use in Europe, the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan and China, and the input socket is able to take plugs from all of those countries too.

"So often you end up having to take a laptop away with you, just to be able to charge those essential travel gadgets", says a Lindy bod. "The end result is a farcical array of cables with a laptop on charge overnight and various gadgets charging via the USB ports."

The all-in-one mains plug and USB travel adapter has a 5V DC output and is supplied with two different adapter caps, one that supports the various mains plugs and the other USB devices.

To change country output the user just needs to slide the selector on the side of the adapter to choose the appropriate plug for that region - it's available now from www.lindy.co.uk, priced at £15.99.
